This black tie wedding at Oceancliff was something special!  You may remember Danielle & William’s wedding HERE. Danielle texted me a couple months ago, and said that her friend needed a photographer for her wedding. When we first got on the phone, though, I quickly realized that I knew Gina, and her family, for many years! We grew up not far from each other, and I was thrilled I would get to spend a few hours with them, and their families, and friends.

You all know my love of Oceancliff, and this wedding was no different. I love that Michael had one wish for the wedding: he wanted it to be Black Tie. Gina had her own wish: an image of each of the couples or families attending, as she was going to gift them each a print, for  frames they were getting as favors. So I brought along Matt from Bailly Photography to come along to second shoot, so he could help get these images for me. Thanks Matt! We had a sweet first look, and used the gorgeous Oceancliff grounds for formals. Between the facade, and the water views, you can’t go wrong, anywhere you choose to photograph on site!

The ceremony was lovely, and I especially loved that the couple had Gina’s niece and nephew as attendants. It was a family affair! After the ceremony, guests dined on a divine looking raw bar, as they took in the spectacular views of the bay, while the sun sparkled off the water, and schooners and sailboats passed by. As I went inside to photograph final details, we waited for the couple to be introduced.

With the sun preparing to set behind them, we had some amazing speeches given by Michael, attendants, and the bride’s brother. Speeches are one of my favorite parts of the day, as the reactions from the couples, and guests, are the most genuine and wonderful to capture. Especially from family.

As soon as speeches were over, we headed outside to catch the sunset, for that last perfect photo.

Enjoy these favorites from their day, and the slideshow at the end!

Congratulations, you two!
