I spent some time with Sina & Andy in Westerly for their Engagement Session. I had used the area in the past for a modeling session, and when Sina said she would want to have their session in Westerly, I knew it would be a perfect spot!

Before we headed to the beach, however, we spent sometime around town, as this area is special to both of them. It was an overcast day, but I always tell my clients not to worry about that. Often, overcast skies lead to some of the most dramatic photos. It can do wonders for the light, too!

Downtown Westerly is lovely, and the area we spent time in had some beautiful rock walled buildings, beautiful sidewalks, and a brick wall with spray paint, that lent itself as a fun backdrop! If you get the chance, head downtown! there are some wonderful looking restaurants, a fantastic library, and a lovely, tree-filled park!

After this, we headed towards the beach, as it was nearing sunset. We were going towards Watch Hill, home to some of the state’s most beautiful homes and hotels, like the historic Ocean House.

The beach area we chose to use for our final set of images was Napatree Point It’s a beautiful dune beach area, with grasses, and spectacular views of the ocean from the top of one of its dunes.

It was still cloudy, but as we made our way towards the point, the light began adding a beautiful blue cast to the sky. It was just the drama I was hoping for! We went for it, and made it out before the rain came, and before the tide came in!

Enjoy some of my favorites from the session, and stay tuned for their wedding at Lake Pearl in Wrentham in a couple months!
