Last week one of my clients *J* referred her friend *S* to me, to get some maternity photos done. *S* was about 8 months along, so she wanted to get them done soon, and I fortunately had some time to squeeze her in! What a gorgeous mama she is going to be! She had some ideas for a certain look she wanted for her photos, and I arrived to see how we could best achieve the looks she was going for. She wanted both the strongly silhouetted look, as well as some lovely glowing shots, which would require more light. This shoot is the perfect example of how a great photo can be taken just about anywhere, as long as you know how to make the light work for you. I found a south facing window that was slowly losing light, giving us the darker shadows we wanted, and a west facing window which would be perfect for the lighter shots.
