I had originally met the bride a few years ago, as she was so kind to donate towards a charity event I was organizing at a local homeless shelter. As I got to know her, I understood more about how amazing she really was.

So naturally I was thrilled when she reached out to me to tell me she was getting married, and wanted me to be there to photograph it!

The groom and I arrived bright and early to the church. Because of this we decided to stay in my car’s AC for a while, so we wouldn’t be a hot mess! When guests started to arrive, we headed inside.

The bride arrived, and couldn’t have looked more beautiful. You would never know how hot it was, she was taking it all in stride! It was time for us to get inside so we could see her groom.

The ceremony was sweet, focusing on this amazing couple, and their shared faith and love. There were also moments of remembrance, including for the bride’s son, who passed on too young. I was glad to be able to hide behind my camera because there was a tear or two to be shed.

After the ceremony, we made haste to get through formals, so we could get everyone out of the heat, and on to the restaurant. I like to work quickly, anyway, so as long as everyone is there, we can get through formals pretty fast. So keep in mind for your wedding!

We then headed to the venue, Spain Restaurant in Cranston. It’s one of the couple’s favorite restaurants, and was perfect! The food was amazing, and guests were having a good time! We were in the upstairs room, which offers a great private space for events. And because it overlooks the main floor, we had our privacy, but were still able to enjoy the restaurant’s beautiful features.

Thanks so much for having me you two! Here are some images from the day. Enjoy!
