Murder Mystery themed birthday party? You read that right! Last month I was referred by my fantastic friends at Rustic Roots Design to a wonderful author who was planning a birthday for her niece. Her nice was also a writer and artist, and they were planning something truly spectacular. They were renting out the beautiful Lippitt House Museum in Providence, as the backdrop for the special evening. It is a gorgeous old home on the East side of Providence, with a history in the textile wealth of Rhode Island. A gorgeous old home, with 30 rooms, and beautiful details.  and the first floor was used specifically for the party. Catering was by Tom’s Market in Warren, and featured delectable appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner. The highlight of the evening was the addition of a Murder Mystery! Guests were entertained, amused, and thrilled throughout the course of the night, with a wonderful production put on by Chifferobe Events. The talented Kristen Minsky assembled an amazing cast of characters, and a magnificent mentalist, for a free flowing, immersive experience she created for the night. Guests were encouraged to dress for the occasion, and they did not disappoint! Everyone looked amazing, especially the birthday girl! She had her hair and makeup done by Suite Tart, and it was so in style with the vibe of the evening, along with her wonderful gown. She also wore some beautiful family heirloom jewelry pieces. Throughout the mansion’s first floor, guests moved and mingled, in rooms decorated with the gorgeous designs from the team at Rustic Roots. Each arrangement was more beautiful than the next, and fit the theme of the evening perfectly. I especially loved the combination of old books and florals. And each guest got to take a book or two of their choice! Take a look at some of my favorites from the night, and leave some kind words below!
