Oceancliff in Newport is one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding. Not only is the venue beautiful, but it features a stunning view of Narragansett Bay. I love that the entire day can take place at one location, and always offer beautiful views, no matter the weather. And it served as the perfect backdrop for Ariel and Adrian’s nautically romantic themed wedding. From the lobsters, boats, and buoys, each detail complimented the day. Now, if only the weather would cooperate!

It was a gloomy day, but the couple wasn’t letting that get to them! The nerves were quickly subdued after they got to see each other for the First Look. We had a few moments of sprinkles after that, but still went on to have the ceremony outside, overlooking the water. Because, what’s a little rain, when you have an awesome view like this?

That said, this had to be the quickest ceremony ever, as the sprinkles increased! They sealed it with a kiss, and we hurried indoors. Guests enjoyed the cocktail hour, and then the reception began. As we made our way through the toasts, I could see the sky behind them finally brightening up, as the sun was setting. And it began to reveal one of the most beautiful sunsets. As soon as the father of the bride was finished with his speech, I made my way over to the couple, and told them to turn around, look out the window, and then follow me outside. As soon as they saw what I saw, they did not hesitate!

Take a moment and enjoy the images from their wedding day, and check out the slideshow at the end, as well! Congratulations you two!
