This was my first time to the Mystic Museum of Art, and it was the perfect setting for this gorgeous wedding. Honestly, there isn’t much better than Mystic in the late summer. From the mingling crowds along the historic seaside shops, to the sailboats and kayaks moving swiftly along the river, and a smooth breeze keeping it a lovely temperature, I really can’t imagine it getting much better for their wedding day!

We started out at the nearby Whalers Inn for getting ready. The bride was there, with her mom, her bridesmaids, and her niece. It was an electric atmosphere, with all the girls in their matching robes and rollers, and the bride in her own personal beautiful robe.

The bride chose a gorgeous form fitting dress, and her ladies all chose their own black dress, which made for a striking group! the bride chose a romantic old Hollywood glam hairstyle, and stunning makeup.

I snuck away to catch up with the groom as he was getting ready, and he was looking very dapper in his formal tuxedo!

We then headed off to the museum to prepare for the ceremony. The ceremony area was set up near a beautiful large tree by the river. As their loved ones gathered, the ceremony began. It was lovely, full of sentiment, and even a few laughs.

After formals, the couple joined family inside, and under the cocktail hour tent. The main gallery was cleared out to make room for the beautifully appointed tables, with glittering glass and light, accented with stunning white florals.

The reception was lovely, featuring some heartfelt speeches and the sweetest parent dances. What a fun wedding!!

Enjoy some favorites from the day! Congratulations again, you two!
